Interstate moves are priced mainly by shipment weight and distance, then adjusted for packing, specialty items, storage and access. After a video or in-home survey, you get a binding not-to-exceed estimate in writing.

It means the final price cannot go above the written estimate unless you add items or services. If your shipment weighs less than estimated, you pay the lower amount.

A refundable $250 deposit holds your load date. It is applied to your final invoice and refunded in full if you cancel at least 7 days before loading.

No hidden fees. If your survey shows stairs, elevators or a long walk to the truck, those charges are listed on the estimate before you sign.

Four to eight weeks is ideal. For June through August or month-end dates, six to ten weeks gives you the best choice of load days.

It is the range of days your truck can arrive. Because Nomad runs dedicated trucks, most windows are two to three days, and your driver calls 24 hours before arrival.

On load day you receive a private tracking link. It shows the truck's latest GPS check-in, plus driver texts at fuel stops, overnight stops and when the truck is two hours away.

Your shipment can go into storage in transit at our Louisville facility or a partner warehouse near your destination, then be delivered when you are ready.

Every interstate move includes released value protection at no charge, as required by federal rules. You can upgrade to full value protection, which covers repair, replacement or cash settlement.

Yes. Nomad operates under USDOT and MC authority (numbers shown on this demo site are placeholders) and provides the FMCSA Rights and Responsibilities booklet with every estimate.

Note any visible damage on the delivery inventory, then submit a claim online within 9 months. Most claims are resolved within 30 days.

Hazardous materials like propane, gasoline, paint, ammunition and cleaning chemicals, plus perishable food and plants on interstate moves. Keep medication, passports and jewelry with you.

Light clothing can stay in sturdy dressers. Remove anything heavy, fragile or valuable so drawers do not warp or break in transit.
